Current Interests
Blessed to start my career as an Assistant Professor in the Botanist's Paradise (Garo Hills of Meghalaya), currently focusing on Wild edible plants, Forest Ecology, Silviculture, Agroforestry, and Biodiversity Conservation.


Knowledge Exchange
Co-creator of the website Where Agroforestry Meets Agriculture, a platform dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation, agroforestry, silviculture, forest ecology, and the ethnobotanical uses of medicinal plants through comprehensive academic programs and hands-on learning experiences.

Work Experience
Dr. Dinesha S served as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for three years under a research project funded by the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) during his doctoral program, where he gained substantial research experience in medicinal plant conservation and agroforestry. Before his current appointment at North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forestry, Tura Campus, Meghalaya, he served as a Contractual Teacher at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU), Pusa, Bihar, for 1 year and 8 months, contributing to teaching and academic activities in the field of forestry. Dr. Dinesha is well-versed in scientific writing, manuscript preparation, and peer review processes, actively contributing to scholarly communication as a dedicated researcher and reviewer in the field of forestry and allied sciences.

About Dr. Dinesha S
Dr. Dinesha S is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forestry at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Tura Campus, Meghalaya, India. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Forestry from the University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (UAHS), Shivamogga, Karnataka, and completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Forestry from Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV), West Bengal.
